I think the best first date idea is one where you have something definite to start talking about. When you go to see a movie (or a play, concert, or other type of performance) you can talk about that first. That, in turn, could possibly turn into a deeper conversation.

I don't think you can go wrong with something as simple as a movie for a first date. I like movies but they're way better when you have someone to go with or watch with, you know? I would treat you to a new movie in a theatre or maybe we could share an old favorite with each other. Could even turn it into dinner or lunch or anything really, I'm pretty open and this is just an idea. Movies are something to talk about
