Whats so offensive about a nipple being on show?
On the covers of MOST mens mags, they show ALL the breast, but hide the nipples...WHY?
The nipple IS part of the breast, the important part, after all.
So why does it get covered up? It's there to sustain life to a baby, what's so wrong with that?
On ANY beach you can see MANY women wearing the smallest of swimwear, but the nipple HAS to be covered up (unless they're on a 'nuddy' beach), but they are 'allowed' to show ALL the breast...BUT NO N more...

I just don't get it. Any thoughts?
It IS daft...when you think about it. less...
And what is also strange,is that a FAT man, with bigger boobs than a woman, can strut his stuff. While a woman with tiny boobs, has to cover hers up.mmmm?
Too right Aries, I have seen men with bigger boobs than me, had to take a second look to make sure they were actually male. LOL
So is this sexual discrimination then? Does make you think.

My question is: Why the double standard? Why does society deem it ok for a man's entire chest to be exposed - say on a beach or something, but for a woman those tiny (or not so tiny depending on the woman) bits Aries mentions are required to be covered?
Anybody have any ideas?

Seriously though, I do agree with Bluegirl, there are double standards. We can see a man chest including his nipples and he would not get arrested for indecent exposure. Not so a woman.
Maybe it has to do with the amount of self control or should i say the the lack of self control that may have been shown at times by some of the male gender ???
Laws are then created to protect the general public and of course do look silly and outdated in years to more...
It's done just to tease you. xx LOL

Because if the nipple is exposed, then it is considered "full nudity". If it is covered, however precariously, it is not nudity, but discretion. Aries, I think you are well aware of this, but just wanted a forum to write the word "nipple" several times. LOL!--True
